Use the shortcut feature when you want to display a shortcut to a certain URL, Project, Discussion, etc.

Who can view Shortcuts?

Administrators can view the shortcuts icon. Other members (e.g., Standard & Basic) will be able to view the actual shortcuts but not create a ‘New Shortcut.’

The options for shortcuts:

  • Resources
  • URL
  • Anchor
  • Document Library (file)
  • Project Management
  • Events
  • Discussion

 

How to create a Shortcut

  1. Go to the Shortcuts icon (it must be enabled for you to be able to see it)
  2. Click the green ‘New Shortcut’ button
  3. Select the desired link
  4. Press Save

The new link will be displayed as a Shortcut on the left hand-side (see image below). The example below shows the Shortcut created which was titled abcde(Team Meetings).

Click into the Shortcut to open.

You can also add an image icon to the Shortcut. Simply click on the circle and upload an image.

You will then see an icon appear on the left tool bar menu.

Tips

You can create one Shortcut or multiple Shortcuts.

You can also drag and drop the shortcuts into the desired order by hovering over the 3 dot icon and moving the Shortcut accordingly.

If you hover over the Shortcut, the edit icon and trashcan icons will appear. To edit, click the pencil icon and to delete the Shortcut, click the trash can.
