Announcement Feature:
What is the purpose of Announcements?
Allows an Administrator to post a message on the homepage so that when users log into the portal, they will see the message at the top right of the home page. This is used more to keep a message in front of the team for some period of time. This section is not historical in nature and is not archived the same as Reachouts.
Reachouts Feature:
Do the Reachout and Announcements features serve the same purpose?
No, they do not. Announcements are shown on the homepage of the portal, while Reachouts are emailed directly to the team members. Announcements are a little more passive, like announcing a future team party, or making a typical office announcement while the Reachouts are alerts to direct employees that are timelier. The communication is cataloged and stored in Reachouts for the client so they can use it again in the future if needed.
Chat Menu Feature:
How does the Chat Menu Feature work?
The Chat Menu Feature creates a history of recent conversations. This feature also shows if someone is online (green dot) or offline (gray dot). If someone is offline, they will know they have a message as the message box will bolden on the portal upon login.
How does the Chat Menu work on a mobile phone?
On a mobile phone, a new chat notification message appears on the mobile screen homepage (you do not have to be in the app for the message to appear).
How long are Chat conversations saved – e.g., one day, a week, month, forever, etc.?
The worksmartanew chat saves your conversations forever.
Mobile App:
If there is a Quick Link inside the portal that a client wants turned off in the mobile app, can this be done? For example, for timekeeping purposes, a healthcare client would not want their employees to clock in/out from their mobile phone, only from a computer/laptop.
Currently there is no option to disable mobile access to certain parts of the application. It can be developed at an additional cost though if you could define what you need.
Storage Space:
Is there a storage limit to the portal?
